Fall in Love With Trick-or-Treating This Year

The leaves are bright, the air is crisp, and “monstrous” bags of candy line the grocery store aisles… It’s the most boo-tiful time of the year! Family-friendly and safe, there’s no better place for your children to have a blast trick-or-treating than in a Cothran Homes community.    Our new home communities in South Carolina are places where homeowners care about each other, and of course, want every child to experience a fun and safe Halloween. Trick or treat your children to a ghoulish good time, filled with sweet treats, fun haunts, and creative costumes!   If you have reservations about Halloween safety, you can rest assured that we’ve got you covered. Our communities have sidewalks and adequate lighting, and neighbors agree upon a general rule to be extra cautious and safe while many children are out and about.   There are also several ways you can continue to ensure optimal safety on your own:  

• Paint your child’s face, as opposed to having them wear a mask, so they can see much easier — it will also be so much fun to do!
• Choose a lighter-colored costume for your child than black (or have them carry a fun glow stick if their costume requires something dark).
• When you’re done trick-or-treating, check your child’s bag of candy for treats that may be a choking hazard.
